FAQs

Will my dog listen to me if someone else trains them?

Dogs learn what behavior is expected during every interaction with us. In order to change our dog’s behavior, we must also change ours! Like any relationship, we must consistenly communicate what behavior we like and what boundaries we will stick to. During a Board and Train your dog will learn a new set of rules and expectations—and they will love their newfound freedom that comes along with it! They will stick to this new way of life as long as it is being reinforced! As they learned how to behave in the trainer’s home, they will also learn how you expect them to behave when they return home. Don’t worry! We will send you home with the tools, skills, knowledge, and ongoing support to set the tone for best behavior and a strong relationship going forward.

How do I know what program is best for my dog?

We understand that each dog and situation is different. We will work with you to find the best training plan for your dog and give you ongoing support to best help you be successful. Call us to set up a free consultation or fill out our contact form and we will call you to discuss what will work best for your situation.

Will I get updates during my dog’s stay?

Yes! We post daily photos of our training dogs on both Facebook and Instagram. Follow us to see what your pup is up to… or just to see cute dogs!

What should I bring for my dog’s stay?

At minimum, please bring enough food for the entire stay. Your pup will be treated like family during their stay! For most dogs and situations, we will provide a crate, blankets and dog beds, food and water bowls, and toys to play with. You are welcome to bring a blanket from home, a special toy, and treats to make them feel more at home. We will not provide food and may need special accommodations for dogs over 100lbs or with severe behavioral issues.
