Board and Train

Training is a lifetime investment that will benefit both you and your dog for many years to come! Dogs learn most efficiently when they are fully immersed and new behaviors are reinforced 100% of the time. Let us put in the work for you! Your dog will learn commands quickly at the hands of a professional, and we will give you the skills and knowledge to ensure a smooth transition when you take your pup home. In addition, we ensure your dog will listen under any distraction by training at a variety of stores, parks, and busy outdoor areas.

All Board and Trains will build confidence, learn to be calm and focus under distractions, and practice calm polite behavior in the house. Each Board and Train includes transportation to your home*, a 1-2 hour go-home lesson, reading materials specific to your dog’s new skills, and unlimited lessons for a year free of charge. We are here to support you in your ongoing training journey! Board and Trains stay in the trainer’s private home and enjoy a fenced yard, daily walks, and structured socialization in addition to daily training sessions.   • Puppy Foundations

    1 week

    This program is designed to help you with all that comes along with adding a new puppy to your home! Puppyhood is an important learning time that sets the tone for life. Let us help you navigate this vital time and build a solid foundation for more advanced training. Your puppy will learn the foundations of a clear communication system as well as introduce the following behaviors:

    -Sit

    -Down

    -Place (bed stay)

    -Name recognition

    -Focus under distractions

    -Loose leash walking

    -No jumping/biting

    -Crate training

    Tools included:

    -Slip leash

    -Place cot

    -Knowledge about your specific puppy’s personality and how they experience the world in order to give you the skills to raise a confident and well-rounded pup

  • Leash Obedience

    3 weeks

    This program is designed for adult dogs looking for solid leash obedience. Your dog will learn the basics of leash manners inside and outside the home. They will learn a clear communication system as well as master the following behaviors with practice under distractions:

    -Sit

    -Down

    -Place (bed stay)

    -Heel

    -Loose leash walk

    -Focus and calm under distractions

    Tools included:

    -Slip leash or Herm Sprenger prong collar

    -Place cot

    *dogs over 6 months old

    *all adult dogs must be crate trained

    *includes 1 hour go-home lesson

    *free unlimited follow-up lessons for 1 year

  • Off-Leash Training

    5 weeks

    Want your dog to enjoy the freedom of listening on and off leash? We are certified in humane remote collar training and E-collars are our specialty! We have experience training police and military K9s in advanced off-leash obedience as well as a wide variety of pet dogs. Dogs in the off-leash program will master all on-leash obedience in addition to the following behaviors reliable off-leash:

    -Recall under any/all distractions

    -Place (bed stay)

    -Down

    -Heel

    -Focus and calm under distractions

    Included equipment:

    -E-collar Technologies Mini Educator and appropriate contact points

    -Slip leash or Herm Sprenger prong collar

    -Place cot

    - 25 ft long line

    *dogs must be 6 months or older

    *all adult dogs must be crate trained

    *includes 1-2 hour go home lesson

    *free unlimited follow-up lessons for 1 year
